Route Quality

Our aim is to provide our user community with a useful tool in planning a safari. This is only possible if the quality and relevance of the routes meets their expectation. Without this, our users will look elsewhere when researching their safari.

Here are the minimum guidelines we aim to achieve for each route:
(1) The route is related to travel in Africa. We do not support routes (albeit a safari route) created outside of Africa. We also do not support routes created for other activities e.g. running, cycling.
(2) At a minimum: the title, introduction, location and activity of the route have been maintained with relevant information. We would prefer more details about the route (and photographs), but these are a minimum requirement.
(3) All hyperlinks are linked within Safarimappers or are linked to non-commercial websites e.g. Wikipedia or Sanparks. If you would like to link to a commercial website (e.g. safari tour operator), please contact us. We are hoping to at least gain from advertising revenue on the site.
(4) To ensure that we don't get a mixture of languages, all text should be in English. We may release other languages in the future.

If we feel that the route created by the user is not relevant or does not meet these quality standards, we will contact them to amend the route. Please contact us if you identify any inappropriate text, route or information.

We hope that these measures will ensure high quality, interesting safari routes for all.
